You’ve Got A Friend
I need to remember how to love like I did with you…..
I need to remember how to be so young and innocent.
I need to remember to let go of everything and surrender and allow love to consume me like I did before……
I need to pick up from the place I was when you came to visit me in Stockholm when I sat on the floor and cried cause I was so happy you were there……
I need to get that vulnerable in love again……
I am scared shitless but I am going to go for it cause if I don’t I will dry up and die.
There are woman floating around me here ….. I hope I choose the right one.
I haven’t let myself love anyone the way I loved you…..
but I am moving on now…. I have too….. I want too.
Thank you Gaby!
I will always love you….and me.
Thanks to James Twyman I learned of this beautiful song.
Cats in the Cradle by Harry Chapin
After moving to San Diego from Boston in 1986/7, I was driving around and heard this song. I had listened to it before but never HEARD it like I had that day.
Today when I saw this video I had tears in my eyes when I saw the baseball jacket that Josh Chapin was wearing when he was a little as shown in this video. I had one of those jackets also. My Mom even made me a life size doll of a baby boy wearing one with a Boston Red Sox baseball cap.
Soon I hope to post a video of me and a son or daughter, stay tuned and say a prayer for me please that I be blessed with a wife and children!
and another favorite that has always touched my heart….
Father and Son by Cat Stevens
This image of me can be viewed in the video below at the 2 minute marker. I had just finished doing a meditation and healing in honor of 11-11-11 atop the Old City of Jerusalem Marketplace where the Jewish Quarter, Muslim Quarter, Armenian Quarter and Christian Quarter come together. There I drummed and we all sang, and prayed. We then planted tulip bulbs with Eva Ariela Lindberg, author of Tulip Love.
After our rooftop 11-11-11 ceremony we walked through the Jaffa Gate to the Mamilla Mall that’s right there. We heard great music and as we walked through the center I felt a Flash Mob was about to happen. And sure enough………………….
